Country Manager – Tanzania

About the role

IQVIA is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Country Manager to lead and grow its Molecular Diagnostics business in Tanzania. This senior leadership position carries full commercial, operational and people‑management responsibility, requiring deep knowledge of the local healthcare ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a Tanzania‑specific strategy to grow Molecular Diagnostics across public and private sectors, holding full P&L responsibility.
• Lead, coach and manage a team of Sales Executives and Ambassadors, driving sales excellence, revenue growth and market‑share targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with the Ministry of Health, regulatory bodies, laboratories, and donor organisations, navigating public tenders and funding mechanisms.
• Develop and implement structured KOL engagement plans in collaboration with Marketing.
• Prepare annual business plans, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years in a senior commercial or country leadership role, with at least 3‑4 years of people‑management experience.
• Strong commercial and operational background in healthcare, preferably IVD, diagnostics or molecular markets.
• Demonstrated experience within the Tanzanian healthcare market and established relationships with key stakeholders.
• University degree in Medical Technology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences or related field.
