Quality Assurance / Quality Control Pharmacist

About the role

Shelys Pharmaceuticals is seeking a qualified QA/QC Pharmacist to join its manufacturing facility in Dar es Salaam. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the entire manufacturing lifecycle, from raw material testing to final product release.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing of raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products.
• Manage analytical laboratory operations, including calibration schedules and equipment maintenance.
• Review batch records, release documentation, and support product release decisions.
• Investigate deviations, out‑of‑specification (OOS) results, and customer complaints.
• Support GMP audits and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain stability testing programmes and ensure compliance with cGMP, ICH, and pharmacopoeial standards.

Required profile

• BPharm or BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Minimum 3 years of QA/QC experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HPLC, UV‑Vis spectroscopy, dissolution testing, and wet chemistry techniques.
• Knowledge of cGMP, ICH guidelines, and relevant pharmacopoeial standards.
