Sales and Marketing Manager - Luxury Resort

About the role

Cenizaro is hiring a Sales and Marketing Manager for The Residence Zanzibar. The role oversees sales staff and reservations to maximise revenue, promotional coverage and marketing opportunities, working closely with revenue management and marketing to grow market share.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement a sales plan covering revenue, customers and the market, and update the sales strategy with the General Manager
• Manage the sales team, set monthly room-night targets, train sales managers and staff, and monitor daily activities of direct reports
• Lead on-property sales, attend sales strategy meetings, and take part in sales calls to win new business
• Follow cross-sell procedures, maintain travel agent accounts and organise travel agent appreciation rates for slow months
• Help develop internal and external promotions, write press releases and maintain the corporate incentive programme
• Update rates, promotions and offers on the hotel website, OTAs and GDS without rate parity, and review and approve corporate negotiated rates
• Execute operational aspects of booked business such as proposals, contracts and customer correspondence

Required profile

• Proven track record in luxury hotel sales and in closing sales
• At least 5 years in a similar position handling the global market; Indian Ocean experience is an added advantage
• Preferred: Master's degree in Marketing
• Flexible schedule, able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
