Senior Sales & Account Executive

About the role

Amadeus Eastern Africa is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join its team and help sustain and grow the company's market share and revenue. The role reports directly to the General Manager and suits a dynamic, results-driven professional with commercial acumen, regional experience and a collaborative mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Develop existing accounts for assigned customers, monitor satisfaction and propose solutions to improve customer profitability and efficiency
• Identify new business opportunities and take ownership until closing internal and external negotiations
• Ensure new products, enhancements and solutions are delivered within the agreed timeframe
• Process operational requests from customers and help them get the most out of Amadeus technology while meeting performance, productivity and service metrics
• Keep customers informed of new product and solution releases and help resolve product and technical questions raised to Global Customer Services or Account Managers
• Support business, functional and technical consultants in delivering customer business processes and IT review recommendations
• Collaborate with Commercial Operations to secure renewal business cases and with Pre-sales and Customer Success teams to meet customer needs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• At least 10 years of experience as an Account/Sales Manager
• Proven experience with the Amadeus IT product range, or in IT solution sales, account management or a similar commercial role
• Demonstrated success managing multiple accounts and driving sales to closure
• Experience supporting business across multiple countries in Eastern Africa
• Private-sector background, preferably in multinational organizations
• Strong financial awareness and ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
