Restaurant Manager – Fast Food, Dar es Salaam

About the role

A fast-growing fast food restaurant is looking for a hands-on Restaurant Manager to run day-to-day operations and help scale the business. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is practical and proactive, and is comfortable leading a team. The ideal candidate is Kenyan, has hospitality experience and is willing to relocate to Dar es Salaam.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations to ensure fast service, consistent food quality and smooth workflow
• Own inventory management: stock control, ordering and minimising waste
• Monitor food, labour and supply costs and act to improve efficiency and profitability
• Recruit, train, schedule and manage staff across front and back of house
• Coordinate kitchen and service teams to avoid delays and improve speed of service
• Step in during peak hours and lead the team under pressure

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Proven experience in fast food or high-volume restaurant operations, ideally in a supervisory or management role
• Experience in a startup or growing business is highly preferred
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage, motivate and hold a team accountable
• Kenyan nationality and willingness to relocate to Dar es Salaam

Required skills

• Solid understanding of inventory management and cost control
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
