IT Manager - Hotel

About the role

The IT Manager manages and maintains the hotel's information technology systems so that operations run smoothly across all departments. The role covers the Property Management System (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), network infrastructure, data security and all IT support, keeping technology aligned with operational and guest service goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Oracle Hospitality Systems, including OPERA PMS and MICROS POS, and provide prompt technical support to staff
• Manage integration between hospitality systems such as PMS, POS, CRM and Finance
• Maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and VPN networks and ensure secure, high-speed internet for guests and staff
• Monitor system performance, implement upgrades, and oversee servers, hardware and security systems
• Develop IT policies, SOPs and best practices, and ensure GDPR and PCI DSS compliance
• Run regular backups, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and implement cybersecurity measures
• Liaise with IT vendors and contractors, negotiate contracts, manage IT budgets and recommend new technology solutions
• Train hotel staff on IT systems and support Front Office, F&B, Finance, HR, Sales & Marketing
• Lead and mentor junior IT staff or external support teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of IT management experience in the hotel/hospitality industry (100+ rooms)
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and project management skills
• Excellent communication, leadership and vendor management skills, with integrity and confidentiality
