About the role
The QHS Auditor ensures that telecom deployment and field‑operations projects meet Quality, Health and Safety (QHS) standards required by the organization, customers and local regulations. The role is highly field‑oriented, conducting inspections, audits, inductions and compliance monitoring to guarantee safe working practices and quality execution.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver QHS inductions, Life Saving Rules and FASTEN training for internal teams and suppliers.
- Facilitate additional H&S trainings such as Work at Height, Rescue, Rigging & Lifting, Defensive Driving, Electrical safety, First Aid and EMF/RF awareness.
- Ensure compliance with Road Safety, Working at Height, Electrical, Rigging & Lifting and FASTEN procedures.
- Oversee site quality processes and verify they are applied within service projects.
- Lead health & safety risk assessments and implement control measures.
- Conduct field QHS inspections (approximately 75% of time) and record results in NDPd/NDPc systems.
- Review supplier QHS inspection outcomes, provide feedback and follow up corrective actions.
- Run weekly governance meetings with suppliers and circulate QHS reports.
- Represent QHS in internal and external meetings and keep SharePoint records up to date.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Telecommunications or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in telecom QHS/HSE auditing, field safety inspection or quality assurance.
- Proven ability to deliver and facilitate technical HSE trainings for internal teams and subcontractors.
- Strong field experience conducting site inspections and audits across telecom rollout projects.
- Experience enforcing Nokia HSE standards and managing risk assessments.
Required skills
- Proficiency with digital HSE platforms NDPd and NDPc.
- Use of AI‑driven safety tools such as PPE checks, Hazard Detection Lens and Crew Check‑in/Check‑out.
- Knowledge of Life Saving Rules, FASTEN procedures and mandatory safety programs.
