Material Manager

About the role

The Material Manager oversees end‑to‑end management of telecom project materials, ensuring that equipment and spare parts are planned, sourced, coordinated and delivered on schedule to support network rollout and deployment activities.

Key responsibilities

• Select and qualify material suppliers to meet customer and Nokia standards while delivering competitive solutions.
• Implement demand‑supply planning for materials in collaboration with project teams and subcontractors.
• Manage material inventories, including spare parts, warehousing, and tracking of customer‑supplied items.
• Provide material guidelines, specifications and logistics support to Project Managers (PM) and Rollout Managers (ROM) during project preparation and execution.
• Assist category managers and procurement teams in evaluating subcontractors and creating new sales items to fill portfolio gaps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in material management, telecom logistics or supply chain operations.
• Proven track record managing telecom project materials, spare parts, supplier coordination and inventory control.
• Experience with material supplier evaluation, compliance with customer and Nokia standards, and cost‑competitiveness.
• Ability to plan material demand and supply for subcontractors in coordination with rollout teams.
