Checker Operator

About the role

The Checker Operator ensures safe and efficient loading, unloading, and stacking of materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production continuity. You will work closely with logistics, warehouse, and production teams to uphold quality, safety, and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑trip forklift inspections and maintain the equipment in optimal condition.
• Manage fuel and fluid levels, and keep the forklift clean.
• Apply health, safety, and environmental standards, including 5S and site housekeeping.
• Execute accurate stock counts using handheld devices and generate variance reports.
• Maintain stock quality by checking packaging and applying FEFO rotation principles.
• Load and unload vehicles and production lines, ensuring correct quantities and proper documentation.
• Communicate effectively with inventory, warehouse, and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Support production continuity by loading raw materials and removing finished goods efficiently.

Required profile

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal communication.
• Digital device literacy for stock counting is advantageous.
