Production Warehouse Operations Lead (Tanzania)

About the role

Bayer is seeking a Production Warehouse Operations Lead to shape logistics and warehousing strategy for seed production in Tanzania. Based in Mbeya, you will ensure seamless flow of raw seeds, foundation seeds, chemicals and packaging materials to multiple tolling sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a logistics and warehousing strategy aligned with field production and tolling operations.
• Operationalise the strategy, deploying resources to optimise intake, storage and release processes.
• Produce daily intake reports, weekly and monthly stock counts, and reconcile physical stock with SAP records.
• Create and manage the operational budget, ensuring efficient use of dynamic resource flows.
• Coordinate EHS, OnePSS and OMS activities across all warehouse sites.
• Manage contracts with transporters, warehouses and temporary labour, ensuring compliance with legal and Bayer policies.
• Train and certify team members on SAP and other digital platforms.
• Use OnePSS for visual management and KPI tracking in Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Supply Chain.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations.
• Proven experience in contract management and budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance.
