Branch Sales Manager

About the role

A manufacturing company, represented by Shugulika Africa Limited, is looking for a Branch Sales Manager. The post holder increases the branch's client base and revenues, works with the sales team to generate leads through continuous sales promotions, and ensures the team follows company policy and meets sales quotas. The role covers end-to-end branch sales, distribution and branch operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure organizational policies and processes are implemented in line with distribution penetration goals.
• Design and implement plans to grow coverage and market share through route, retail and credit innovation, and optimize the sales setup and resource use.
• Drive go-to-market and sales excellence through standard KPIs and a tracking mechanism using AI technology.
• Align strategy with brand management, sales and business development, and execution excellence to increase market share and profitability.
• Deliver distribution programs covering width, depth and velocity, and track customer, brand and trade KPIs and EBITDA.
• Meet the approved budget for revenue, margin and profitability.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including logistics, delivery, customer support and quality assurance.
• Maintain a positive work climate, attract and retain staff, and report on team performance metrics.

Required profile

• Over 8 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience in FMCG is an added advantage.
• Good leadership, communication and coaching skills.
• Assertive and able to handle pressure.

Required skills

• Marketing skills and general knowledge of sales techniques.
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint.
