Technical Operator

About the role

The Technical Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining and improving packaging line equipment to ensure safe, efficient and on‑time delivery of high‑quality beverage products. The role supports production activities while adhering to safety, quality, environmental and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Start‑up, operate, shut‑down and monitor equipment performance according to SOPs.
• Maintain hygiene standards by keeping equipment and surrounding areas clean.
• Capture accurate production data and update reporting platforms.
• Perform autonomous maintenance tasks (CILT, LOTOTO) and support Asset Care during breakdowns.
• Conduct condition‑based inspections, raise work requests and use the escalation matrix for deviations.
• Execute equipment changeovers and adjustments efficiently.
• Apply quality‑at‑source checks and adhere to quality triggers.
• Utilise digital systems such as Orbis, Harford, STRATA and SAP for work orders and notifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating packaging line machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Ability to perform autonomous maintenance and follow SOPs.
• Good problem‑solving skills using troubleshooting tools.
