Technical Manager - Three-Wheeler Business

About the role

A client of Shugulika Africa Limited is looking for a Technical Manager based in Dar es Salaam to oversee warehouse operations, fleet coordination and technical service functions within a three-wheeler business. The role covers stock management, vehicle movement, reporting and technical service quality, and involves supervising teams across all functions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee incoming and outgoing stock, verify stock accuracy and keep proper inventory records
• Manage tools and equipment, open and close warehouse operations daily, and monitor pending deliveries
• Track vehicles by GPS, handle repossessed vehicles, and monitor insurance status and compliance
• Maintain and update operational reports and Excel records, prepare upcountry stock reports and reconcile with Finance
• Manage cash handling and perform cost analysis
• Oversee Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and servicing standards for three-wheelers
• Train and supervise mechanics, provide technical guidance and troubleshooting, and ensure strong knowledge of diesel engine systems
• Manage warehouse and service teams, coordinate schedules including off days, and ensure security teams verify stock movements
• Communicate in English and Swahili, coordinate internally, and travel within Tanzania and internationally when required

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the three-wheeler service industry
• Proven experience in warehouse and inventory management
• Strong leadership, team management and communication skills in English and Swahili
• Ability to manage several operational areas at once, proactive and hands-on
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally
