Parts Logistics Supervisor

About the role

A client of Shugulika Africa Limited, a leading automotive company, is hiring a Parts Logistics Supervisor in Dar es Salaam. The role supports parts sales growth and business objectives by placing stock orders accurately and on time, managing the parts supply chain and keeping optimal stock levels so parts are always available.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop effective networks with customers and suppliers on parts-related issues.
• Ensure orders are placed and dispatched on time and accurately, in line with supplier standards.
• Coordinate and submit SMR reports with TTAF, process returns for credit to the SMR account, and verify parts costings for the Parts Manager's approval.
• Manage stock and VOR (Vehicle Off Road) parts ordering, and invoice damaged parts in transit to the insurance claims account.
• Support stock-taking, prepare monthly departmental reports and reviews, and follow TMC guidelines for job processes and procedures.
• Oversee workshop WIP parts supply and synchronise it with workshop operations; manage lost sales caused by parts out of stock.
• Source parts from local suppliers, follow up on orders until delivery, and report monthly on parts cost, sales and service rate capture.
• Analyse marine covers processed by the outbound logistics team for premium accuracy, monitor lead times, and ensure customs compliance to avoid penalties.
• Receive parts, release them into stock on time, coordinate stock consignment documentation for clearing agents, and update customer orders awaiting parts and vehicle releases.
• Adhere to company SOPs and perform other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement or a related business discipline.
• Two years of experience in supply chain management.
• Knowledge of products and the automotive industry is an added advantage.
