Technical Manager – Tanzania

About the role

IQVIA is seeking a Technical Manager to provide veterinary and diagnostic expertise across Tanzania and the broader North, West, East Africa region. The role focuses on ruminants and poultry, supporting demand generation, market development and technical support for distributors and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical support for veterinary and diagnostic activities across the assigned market.
• Provide product training to distributors and key accounts, ensuring correct application and supporting commercial growth.
• Drive demand‑generation initiatives and contribute technical input to portfolio management.
• Manage training clinics and train‑the‑trainer programmes, especially in remote areas.
• Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and support diagnostic infrastructure development.
• Participate in pharmacovigilance reporting and related team activities.

Required profile

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine / BVSc (or equivalent) and registered to practise in Tanzania.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a veterinary/animal health technical role, with at least 2 years in a commercial environment.
• Proven experience delivering technical and product training.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within Tanzania and occasional international travel.

Required skills

• Strong veterinary/clinical knowledge in core species.
• Experience with diagnostic testing and interpretation.
• Understanding of pharmacovigilance processes.
• High computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
