Technical Sales Representative – Tanzania

About the role

Ideal Inks & Coatings Ltd is seeking a technically‑oriented Technical Sales Representative to join its Tanzania team. You will be responsible for generating new business, nurturing existing accounts, and delivering product trials and technical support to customers in the printing and packaging sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the printing and packaging industry.
• Manage and grow existing customer accounts through regular visits and relationship management.
• Conduct product trials, technical evaluations, and customer demonstrations in collaboration with the technical team.
• Follow up on quotations, samples, and sales opportunities to convert them into orders.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and achieve monthly sales targets.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers on commercial and technical matters.
• Coordinate with Production, QC, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure excellent customer service and timely collections.
• Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, and sales records in ERP and CRM systems.
• Submit regular sales activity, pipeline, and market intelligence reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Sales & Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in inks, coatings, chemicals, printing, packaging or manufacturing.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Self‑driven, organized and results‑oriented.
• Ability to build strong customer relationships and convert opportunities into sales.
