Carbon Credits Supervisor – Tanzania (Fixed-Term)

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a Tanzania Carbon Credits Supervisor on a fixed‑term basis to lead the delivery of its integrated Trees and Carbon program across multiple sites. The supervisor will manage a team of Tree & Carbon Officers, ensuring farmer enrollment, high‑quality service, and achievement of carbon and agroforestry targets.

Key responsibilities

• Translate regional carbon and agroforestry targets into daily field plans and conduct weekly visits to coach staff and verify farmer eligibility.
• Monitor team KPIs, ensure data integrity for surveys, and perform unannounced field audits to address performance gaps.
• Coordinate seedling distribution logistics, mobilize farmers, and oversee post‑distribution training to maximize tree survival.
• Lead weekly team meetings, develop individualized career growth plans, and provide field coverage during staff absences.
• Promote a culture of psychological safety, customer service, and DEI while managing operational costs and staffing efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising field teams in agriculture, forestry, or carbon‑credit projects.
• Strong understanding of agroforestry practices and carbon accounting concepts.
• Ability to analyze data, track performance metrics, and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills, with a focus on DEI and workplace safety.
