Utilities Machine Specialist

About the role
The Utilities Machine Specialist will ensure the E&F plant and its associated equipment run reliably, delivering high product quality while keeping costs low. You will work closely with production teams to apply engineering principles, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain, repair and optimise the E&F plant to maximise availability.
- Provide line support for both situational and systemic issues.
- Execute process optimisation initiatives and capability studies.
- Support design and execution of regional capital projects, including small CAPIN projects.
- Coach process‑engineering trainees and help close technological gaps.
- Lead improvement projects using VPO principles and comply with GOP requirements.
Required profile
- B.Sc. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2‑3 years experience as a Utilities Technician or Artisan.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to manage multiple initiatives.
Required skills
- Deep understanding of utilities plant operation.
- Process controls and automation expertise.
- Design and commissioning experience.
