Technical Director, Faith and Community Initiative (FCI)

About the role

The Faith and Community Initiative (FCI) in Tanzania seeks a Technical Director to provide overall technical leadership and adapt global strategies to the Tanzanian context. Working closely with the Chief of Party and the Global FCI Technical Director, the role ensures that health services delivered through government facilities, Christian Health Associations and other faith‑based organisations meet both global standards and national policies.

Key responsibilities

• Translate FCI global technical strategy, standards, tools and protocols into a Tanzania‑specific implementation framework aligned with national health policies.
• Implement and adapt the integrated hub‑and‑spoke service‑delivery model for HIV, TB, malaria, maternal and child health, and nutrition services.
• Oversee technical planning, implementation and coordination of program activities across government, CHA and other faith‑based health facilities.
• Ensure technical compliance with FCI global policies, Ministry of Health guidelines, donor requirements and promote effective integration between public and faith‑based service delivery systems.
• Provide technical leadership to strengthen referral systems, continuity of care and overall service quality throughout the network.
• Lead continuous strengthening of the integrated service‑delivery model, ensuring effective linkages between facilities and community platforms.
