Sales Executive – Solar Energy, Zanzibar

About the role

A growing renewable energy company based in Zanzibar is hiring a Sales Executive to expand its solar energy solutions across residential, commercial and tourism sectors. The role involves presenting to large groups, generating leads, closing sales and building client relationships while educating customers on the value of solar power. Key responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and convert B2B and B2C sales opportunities in residential, commercial and hospitality sectors.
• Deliver structured client pitches, product presentations and solution demonstrations to decision-makers and individual customers.
• Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, client meetings, site visits, proposals, negotiation and deal closure.
• Build and maintain client relationships to drive repeat business, referrals and long-term account growth.
• Prepare tailored quotations and proposals in line with client energy needs, working with technical teams.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Engage in the field to find new opportunities, gather customer insights and monitor competitors.
• Oversee digital marketing channels and give input on marketing strategy.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven sales experience, preferably in energy, construction or technical products.
• Strong communication, negotiation and closing skills.
• Self-driven and able to work independently in a target-driven environment.
