Sales Engineer – Technical Sales for Mining Equipment

About the role

The Sales Engineer will work closely with Account Executives to identify and engage prospective clients in the mining sector. You will present technical solutions, demonstrate product capabilities, and support customers throughout the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, contact and follow up with prospective clients in the mining industry.
• Present and demonstrate technical capabilities of slurry pumps, submersible pumps, valves, pipes, fittings and related equipment.
• Partner with the sales team to generate leads and maintain existing accounts.
• Provide technical support and answer client queries.
• Negotiate pricing and close sales agreements.
• Travel within the territory and conduct on‑site customer visits.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience selling engineering or mechanical products.
• Strong knowledge of slurry pumps and submersible pumps.
• Proven track record in mechanical sales and price negotiations.
• Valid driving licence and ability to travel for customer visits.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
