Sales & Marketing Specialist – Service Sales

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Sales & Marketing Specialist to join Hitachi Energy’s Mwanza office. Working closely with the Service Sales Manager, you will generate opportunities, secure profitable sales and deliver value across our installed‑base customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, quotations and competitive bids with accurate technical and commercial inputs.
• Drive proactive and reactive sales for high‑voltage and transformer service portfolios.
• Evaluate client requirements, assess commercial terms and propose techno‑commercial solutions.
• Manage the tendering process, pricing strategies and risk reviews in coordination with the Service Sales Manager.
• Maintain project pipeline, forecasts and documentation using Hitachi Energy tools.
• Build and sustain strong customer relationships, acting as the voice of the customer internally.
• Identify new market opportunities and develop strategic sales plans.
• Support marketing activities, product launches and customer meetings while ensuring compliance with HSE, quality and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in service sales, estimation, bids and proposals.
• Proven understanding of Hitachi Energy systems and products.
• Experience working in the energy sector.
• Strong commercial, technical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently with a strategic, result‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel across assigned countries as needed.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
