Patroller – Plant Operations

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Patroller to carry out regular patrols across our plant premises in Mbeya. The role ensures smooth plant operations by identifying equipment issues early, maintaining safety standards, and supporting the maintenance and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of the plant, production areas and equipment sections.
• Monitor equipment for abnormalities such as leaks, unusual noises, overheating or potential breakdowns and report them promptly.
• Ensure that safety procedures and operational standards are consistently followed.
• Record observations and incidents during each shift and prepare daily reports.
• Assist maintenance and operations teams in diagnosing and resolving operational problems.
• Support emergency response actions during equipment failures or plant incidents.
• Maintain good housekeeping, keeping work areas safe and clean.
• Communicate findings effectively with supervisors and other departments.

Required profile

• Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous experience in a cement plant, mining, manufacturing or similar industrial environment (preferred).
• Basic understanding of industrial equipment and plant operations.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
• Ability to work in shifts with minimal supervision and physical fitness for an industrial setting.
