Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Lead – Tanzania

About the role

Global Communities is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Lead to support the Tanzania Community‑Based Social Norms Change and Gender‑Based Violence Prevention Program. The position reports to the Team Leader (Project Director) and is based in Dodoma for an 18‑month full‑time assignment, contingent on award and donor approval.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of the MEL framework for the program.
• Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure timely and accurate information for decision‑making.
• Facilitate learning activities, synthesize findings, and promote evidence‑based adjustments to program interventions.
• Coordinate with the Project Director, technical teams, and partners, including the World Bank and Government of Tanzania, to align MEL activities with project objectives.
• Prepare donor reports and contribute to compliance and accountability requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning within humanitarian or development programs.
• Familiarity with gender‑based violence prevention initiatives is preferred.
• Ability to work in Tanzania and collaborate with government and international partners.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
