National GBV Program Officer (3 openings)

About the role

Global Communities is recruiting three National GBV Program Officers to lead the implementation of a World Bank‑funded community‑based gender‑based violence (GBV) prevention programme in Tanzania. The role will oversee district‑level activities, adapt curricula, and support government partners to scale the Bandebereho couples‑based model.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor implementation quality across assigned districts through support visits, fidelity data review and joint problem‑solving with District GBV Program Officers.
• Contribute to the adaptation of the curriculum and facilitators’ manual in English and Kiswahili, and develop district‑specific adaptation packages for each rollout wave.
• Co‑design and deliver multi‑tiered training of trainers, refresher sessions and quality‑assurance workshops, maintaining the facilitator registry.
• Support the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children’s Services (MoCDGWSG) to develop and validate the national GBV prevention protocol and scale‑up plan.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Sociology or a related field.
• At least two relevant projects in the past ten years, including World Bank or donor‑funded GBV or social‑norms change programmes.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, adult‑learning principles and training of trainers.
• Proven ability to work with Tanzanian government ministries, regional secretariats and local authorities.
