Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will join Boxleo Courier & Fulfillment Services Limited in Dar es‑Salaam to plan and execute internal audits across financial and operational functions. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements while supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and document internal audits of financial and operational areas.
• Review financial records, test transactions and evaluate internal controls.
• Prepare clear, well‑structured audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Analyze risks, identify improvement opportunities and monitor control effectiveness.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to implement corrective actions.
• Communicate audit insights to management to aid decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of finance.
• Experience preparing audit reports and conducting financial audits.
• Effective communication skills for presenting findings and cross‑functional collaboration.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or related field; CPA or CIA certification is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
• Previous experience in logistics, supply chain or related industries is beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems.
