Finance Manager (Volunteer)

About the role

The Finance Manager will volunteer to oversee the financial operations of Doekman Foundation, a youth‑focused non‑profit in Dar es Salaam. This hybrid role combines on‑site work with flexible remote days, ensuring accurate financial management to support the organization’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgets, track income and expenses, and maintain up‑to‑date financial records.
• Prepare clear financial reports for internal use and external donors.
• Support grant and donor reporting, including expenditure tracking and documentation.
• Develop and update financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Collaborate with program and leadership teams to forecast, plan, and monitor project finances.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational financial requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Commitment to youth empowerment, health education, and cultural sensitivity.
• Experience in non‑profit or NGO financial environments is a plus.
