Finance Manager - Hospitality

About the role

A client of Shugulika Africa Limited is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of its hospitality business in Dar es Salaam. The role covers budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and regulatory compliance, and provides data-driven insights to improve profitability and support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts with department heads, and perform variance analysis on financial performance
• Analyze cost structures and recommend ways to improve financial efficiency
• Oversee day-to-day accounting, including AP/AR, payroll and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements on time
• Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity forecasts
• Maintain internal controls and ensure regulatory and tax compliance, liaising with auditors and authorities
• Support management with investment evaluation and risk analysis
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• CPA/ACCA qualification
• At least 4 years of financial management experience, including 2 years in hospitality
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills
