Finance & Administration Director – East Africa

About the role

We are seeking a Finance & Administration Director to lead financial strategy and operational efficiency across East Africa. The role supports business growth and ensures strong financial governance in a fast‑paced international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and administrative functions.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in line with accounting standards and local regulations.
• Monitor financial performance, cash flow, and profitability indicators.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning activities.
• Provide decision‑making support through financial analysis and business performance monitoring.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
• Implement and improve internal controls, financial procedures, and reporting tools.
• Supervise finance and administrative teams across multiple functions.
• Participate in business transformation and process optimisation, including ERP and reporting system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with tax, legal, contractual, and corporate governance requirements.
• Contribute to operational efficiency and support management in achieving business objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Audit, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in finance leadership or senior financial management roles.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Experience in telecommunications, infrastructure projects or construction environments is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, cash‑flow management, taxation, audit and internal controls.
• Experience in multicultural and international business environments.
• Fluent in English or French.
