Relationship Manager SME

About the role

The Relationship Manager SME will support the Head of SME Banking in achieving revenue and productivity targets while delivering excellent service to SME clients. The role involves leading a team of Relationship Officers, overseeing application processing, and ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve asset targets by managing a team of Relationship Officers and promoting a wide range of SME banking products.
• Monitor and manage client applications, ensuring timely approval and payment while meeting SLA requirements.
• Lead, coach, and develop Relationship Officers through performance management, training, and talent programs.
• Coordinate SME lending forum meetings and work closely with the Risk department on KYC, AML, and sanctions compliance.
• Drive customer service excellence by handling complaints, improving product offerings, and maintaining high service scores across branches.

Required profile

• Proven experience in SME banking or a similar financial services environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills, with a track record of building high‑performing sales teams.
• Excellent knowledge of risk, compliance (KYC, AML) and regulatory requirements for banking.
• Ability to analyze financial data, monitor performance metrics, and implement corrective actions.
