Field Auditor

About the role

A leading manufacturer of skin care, oral care, squash and hair care products in East Africa, which is committed to operational excellence, ethical business practices and strong internal controls, is looking for experienced Field Auditors. The auditors will carry out field audits across departments, plants and the company's branch network, ensuring operational integrity, financial accuracy and compliance with internal controls and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field audits of production facilities, warehouses and distribution centres
• Review inventory management, procurement processes and cash handling procedures
• Verify physical assets and reconcile them with records
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risks and recommendations
• Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure audit readiness
• Assist in fraud detection and investigation activities
• Ensure compliance with company policies, tax laws and industry regulations
• Provide support during external audits and regulatory inspections

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related field
• CPA (T), CIA or equivalent certification preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in field auditing, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG
• Strong understanding of internal control systems and risk management frameworks

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Tally) and audit software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and report writing
