Commercial Vehicle Sales Executive

About the role

A leading automotive company, recruited through Shugulika Africa Limited, is looking for a results-driven Commercial Vehicle Sales Executive in Dar es Salaam. The role drives sales growth, manages key customer relationships and supports effective stock turnover.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and develop new business with fleet and corporate customers, and maintain relationships with existing ones to generate repeat sales.
• Conduct customer visits, presentations and product demonstrations; prepare quotations and negotiate deals in line with pricing and margin guidelines.
• Close sales, coordinate invoicing and vehicle delivery, and prioritise selling available stock, especially aged inventory.
• Build and manage a sales pipeline aligned with monthly and quarterly targets, track leads and follow-ups in the approved CRM or sales tools, and review the pipeline with the Sales Manager.
• Work with marketing teams, logistics and procurement teams, and ensure all transactions meet minimum margin requirements.
• Carry out customer needs analysis and site surveys, handle after-sales follow-ups, and support smooth vehicle handovers.
• Submit sales reports, forecasts and activity plans on time, keep complete sale documentation, and share market intelligence and competitor feedback.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years' proven sales experience, preferably in the commercial vehicle or related industry.
• Valid driving licence.
• Customer-centric approach, professionalism, integrity and accountability.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation, closing and customer relationship management skills.
• Good understanding of commercial vehicle specifications and applications.
• Pipeline and time management, ability to work independently under pressure and to achieve sales targets consistently.
