Assistant General Manager – Hospitality Leadership Role

About the role

The Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager at a RIU hotel in Africa or Asia, helping to drive operational excellence, guest satisfaction and business performance. This position offers a fast‑track career path with the potential to become a General Manager as the brand expands in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily operations to maintain high service standards and efficiency.
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure seamless guest experiences across all areas.
• Help manage budgets, forecasts and financial plans to achieve property targets.
• Lead, train and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and legal regulations.
• Contribute to RIU brand standards, guest satisfaction scores and overall property reputation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hospitality experience, including supervisory or management roles.
• Proven leadership ability and strong financial acumen.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in multicultural environments and adapt to different cultural settings.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
