Accountant – Automotive Sector (Bagamoyo, Tanzania)

About the role

The Accountant will join the automotive division of ITM Tanzania Limited in Bagamoyo, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with local regulations. This full‑time position supports business decision‑making through timely reporting and effective fund management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts on a regular basis.
• Record all financial transactions accurately and file supporting documents.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and track receivables to ensure timely collections.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Manage funds and identify process improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or ACCA certification preferred (or in progress).
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Ability to work onsite in Bagamoyo, Tanzania.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or ERP systems.
