Volunteer opportunities in insurance, IT, finance, law and more

About the role

National Insurance Corporation (NIC) Tanzania is inviting Tanzanian citizens to join its volunteer programme. The initiative offers multiple professional positions across insurance, records management, information technology, planning, finance, legal and graphic design. Volunteers will work for up to twelve months, with the possibility of renewal for two additional periods.

Key responsibilities

• Support the assigned department in daily operations and project activities.
• Assist with data entry, record keeping, and preparation of reports as required.
• Contribute to the implementation of policies, procedures and best practices within the functional area.

Required profile

• Insurance Officer II – Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or equivalent.
• Records Management Assistant – Form IV/VI secondary certificate plus a Diploma in Records Management, Archives or related field; computer literate.
• ICT Officer II – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent with at least four years of relevant experience.
• Planning Officer II – Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Project Planning and Management, Economic Planning or equivalent; computer literate.
• Accounts Officer II – Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting/Finance) or an Intermediate Certificate (Module D) from NBAA.
• Legal Officer II – Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and completion of the Tanzanian Law School internship.
• Technician – Graphic Designer II – Diploma in ICT, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Multimedia Production or Mass Communication.
