Truck & Low-Bed Truck Operator

About the role

Q-Sourcing Tanzania Limited, a manpower management firm operating across Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and South Sudan, is recruiting on behalf of its Tanzanian client for a Truck and Low-Bed Truck Operator in Morogoro. The role reports to the Workshop Supervisor or Workshop Manager and involves safely moving machinery, equipment, materials and supplies between sites, workshops and depots.

Key responsibilities

• Transport heavy equipment, implements and materials using trucks and low-bed trailers.
• Secure loads correctly and comply with road safety and load regulations.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks of brakes, tires, lights, fluids and coupling systems.
• Report defects and arrange timely maintenance with the workshop.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records and load manifests.

Required profile

• At least 5-7 years of experience driving heavy trucks and low-bed trailers.
• Valid heavy vehicle licence appropriate to the class of truck and trailer; a clean driving record and strong safety awareness are required.
• An added advantage is holding a valid driving licence.
• The position is open to locals only.
