Transport Coordinator

About the role

Diageo is seeking a Transport Coordinator to lead the safety agenda and optimise transport operations across inbound, outbound and site logistics. The role will ensure compliance with transport safety standards, drive efficiency, and support the delivery of Diageo’s iconic brands to customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Execute inbound and outbound transport plans to meet turnaround times, service levels and cost targets.
• Coordinate with warehousing, planning, sourcing and sales teams to ensure smooth order and material delivery.
• Track transporter performance, optimise routes and improve fleet utilisation.
• Monitor KPIs related to transport efficiency, cost‑effectiveness and safety compliance.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives in safety and operations.
• Manage driver training, 3PL compliance to SOPs and develop site‑specific traffic‑management plans.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee journey planning management, vehicle and forklift inspections, and incident investigations.
• Ensure adherence to CARM, IAA, SFIPP and local transport regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport planning, logistics or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong understanding of transport safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on KPI tracking and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills for driver and team development.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CARM, IAA and SFIPP transport safety standards.
• Familiarity with route optimisation and fleet utilisation techniques.
• Experience with risk assessment and incident investigation processes.
