Team Leader – Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) Policy & Systems

About the role

The Team Leader will serve as the central representative for the Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) Dividend Policy & Systems programme, overseeing implementation across seven African countries. Reporting to the Programme Director, the role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on programme and financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical oversight for all WISH P&S workstreams, ensuring delivery of technical outputs, monitoring, evaluation and learning.
• Guide Country Leads in developing and executing annual demand‑driven workplans, guaranteeing timely and on‑budget delivery.
• Collaborate with the Regional Finance and Operations Manager and Programme Management Unit to maintain robust financial controls and achieve payment KPIs.
• Monitor progress against logframe targets, value‑for‑money commitments and overall programme performance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the FCDO on programme strategy, technical direction and day‑to‑day management.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multi‑country technical assistance programmes in the health or SRHR sector.
• Strong background in policy, financing and institutional analysis related to demographic transition and sexual and reproductive health outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets, financial reporting and performance indicators.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working with government partners and international donors.
