Senior Consultant, Climate Finance & Investment

About the role

Oxford Policy Management is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead climate finance and investment work across its global offices. The role supports governments and partners in mobilising public, private and blended finance for climate mitigation, adaptation and resilient growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver advisory services on blended finance structures that attract private capital for climate and resilience outcomes.
• Develop and implement climate and disaster‑risk finance and insurance solutions to strengthen adaptation and risk reduction.
• Support sustainable and green finance market development, including institutional strengthening.
• Provide private‑sector climate finance solutions for MSMEs, start‑ups and women‑led enterprises.
• Identify and shape investable opportunities, building pipelines for emerging and frontier markets.
• Contribute to business development, strategic partnerships and the growth of OPM’s climate finance offering.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in climate finance, blended finance or related private‑sector investment fields.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering high‑quality technical and advisory support.
• Excellent communication skills and a solution‑oriented consulting style.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of blended finance mechanisms and innovative financing structures.
• Expertise in climate and disaster‑risk finance, insurance and risk transfer.
• Understanding of sustainable, green and inclusive finance markets.
• Experience mobilising private capital for climate‑related projects.
