Sales Executive – Commercial Vehicles

About the role

A client of Shugulika Africa Limited is looking for a dynamic, customer-focused Sales Executive to join its automobile sales team in Dar es Salaam. The role covers identifying potential customers, understanding their vehicle needs and guiding them through the buying process so that sales targets are met. The expected sales volume is not less than 5 units per month.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and negotiations, clearly communicating the value proposition, features and benefits of commercial vehicles
• Identify and approach prospective customers, manage relationships with existing clients and propose suitable transport solutions based on customer needs
• Maintain sales records and customer interactions in CRM software, prepare weekly sales reports and keep the Autoline system up to date
• Prepare proposals, quotes and contracts, negotiate pricing and terms, and analyse the market, competitors and prices in Tanzania
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan, identify target markets and customer segments, and visit other regions to prospect and retain customers
• Provide post-sale support, follow up on marketing leads, coordinate with the sales team on stock and pipeline, and attend debtors meetings, marketing initiatives and industry events
• Work with marketing, product development and customer service teams, and give regular feedback to management and product teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automobile or a related field
• Prior sales experience of at least 5 years
• Excellent communication skills in English and Kiswahili
• Strong, polished presentation skills and a professional approach
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
