Resource and Database Manager

About the role

The Barrick Africa Middle East Team is looking for a Resource and Database Manager to lead the compilation, analysis, and reporting of mineral resource data for the North Mara gold deposit. The role combines geological expertise with robust database management to ensure accurate, timely information for senior leadership and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit end‑of‑year and mid‑year resource workbooks and NI43‑101 reports on schedule.
• Perform reconciliations across inferred, indicated, measured resources and ore reserve grade control.
• Review QA/QC data monthly and quarterly, flag errors or bias, and coordinate with supervisors and laboratory managers.
• Maintain and audit the resource database weekly, producing quarterly audit reports.
• Update Grade Block Models at least quarterly and generate quarterly trend charts for approval.
• Develop and implement pXRF logging procedures and advanced geological logging codes.
• Re‑log historic core samples to refine the geological model and support 3D modeling of key controls.
• Mentor on‑site geological staff, foster cross‑department collaboration, and contribute to drill‑program design and feasibility studies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mineral resource estimation and geological modeling, preferably in gold deposits.
• Strong understanding of host lithologies, alteration patterns, and structural controls.
• Ability to lead QA/QC reviews and communicate findings to senior management.
• Experience training and supervising technical staff in field and laboratory settings.
