Research Scientist Intern – Dar es Salaam

About the role

The Research Scientist Intern will support the Malaria Atlas Project (MAP) Dar es Salaam Node by applying research and dissemination skills to address questions from malaria control programmes and stakeholders. This short‑term position offers the chance to design and implement focused, time‑bound projects that directly contribute to MAP objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute small research projects aligned with MAP goals.
• Analyse data and produce findings that inform malaria control strategies.
• Prepare and present reports for programme managers and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the MAP team to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, data science or a related quantitative discipline.
• Knowledge of public health, disease epidemiology, vector‑borne diseases or ecology is desirable.
