New Car Sales Manager

About the role

A client of Shugulika Africa Limited in the automotive industry is looking for a New Car Sales Manager to lead its dealership sales team in Dar es Salaam. The manager drives vehicle sales, maximises profitability and ensures excellent customer satisfaction, setting sales strategies, managing inventory, coaching the team and building a high-performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train and motivate the sales team to meet individual and departmental sales goals.
• Develop and run sales strategies, promotions and marketing campaigns to increase vehicle sales.
• Set sales quotas, monitor performance metrics and analyse sales data to find areas for improvement.
• Oversee vehicle inventory and pricing to ensure profitability and good stock turnover.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, handle escalated issues and prepare regular sales reports.
• Manage budgets and work with finance, marketing and service departments.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven automotive sales management experience with a track record of hitting targets.
• Strong leadership, coaching and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities; analytical and strategic thinker.
• Customer-oriented, adaptable to industry change and able to use new sales technologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
