Marketing Officer - Hotel

About the role

Career Directions Limited is recruiting, on behalf of its client, an experienced Marketing Officer for a family-owned 40-room hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The role leads and coordinates the hotel's marketing activities to strengthen visibility, bookings and guest engagement, covering digital marketing, social media, online reputation, OTA platforms, promotions, guest communications and marketing for conferences and events.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the hotel's marketing plans and campaigns
• Manage social media and digital marketing activities
• Create content promoting rooms, facilities, dining, events and special offers
• Manage and optimise OTA listings and content
• Monitor and improve online reputation and guest reviews
• Coordinate promotions, campaigns and seasonal initiatives
• Support marketing and sales for conferences, events and hotel facilities
• Develop guest communications, newsletters and promotional materials
• Track competitor activity, market trends and customer preferences
• Monitor performance and prepare regular reports
• Work with Front Office, Sales, Food & Beverage and Management teams

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Communications or a related field
• 7-10 years of marketing experience in established hotels or resorts
• Valid Kenyan passport and willingness to relocate to Dar es Salaam
