About the role
Bulyanhulu Gold Mine, part of Barrick, is offering an eight‑week Industrial Practical Training (IPT) placement for eligible university students. The program aims to provide hands‑on exposure to mining operations and develop practical skills that support Tanzania’s human‑capital growth.
Key responsibilities
- Report to the Training Supervisor and follow daily work plans.
- Participate in on‑site activities to gain practical experience in gold mining processes.
- Observe and adhere to all safety and environmental protocols.
- Complete assigned tasks and projects that contribute to operational objectives.
- Document learning outcomes and provide feedback on the training experience.
Required profile
- Enrolled in a recognized tertiary institution (not a first‑year or final‑year student, and not a graduate).
- Provide an introduction letter from the university with a contact for the IPT coordinator.
- Submit official examination results with the institution’s stamp.
- Demonstrate integrity; any cheating leads to disqualification.
