Program Coordinator – Applied Learning

About the role

Raising The Village is looking for a highly organized Program Coordinator to join its Applied Learning team in Tanzania. The role bridges data, programs and people, turning field insights into learner‑friendly resources that support frontline staff and community members.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate machine translation of complex program content from English to Kiswahili and ensure quality control.
• Coordinate quality assurance of translated documents, develop terms of reference and manage contractors.
• Capture and document program methodology, adaptations, lessons learned and best practices into guides and training resources.
• Lead iterative learning processes, support program reviews and standardise tools and processes.
• Identify staff learning needs, develop micro‑learning content and evaluation tools for frontline delivery staff.
• Design and conduct qualitative research (focus groups, interviews) in local languages and synthesize findings for program improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in international development, knowledge management, M&E, social sciences or related field.
• Fluent in Kiswahili (including major local dialects) and English.
• 3‑4 years of experience designing learning materials and managing projects in a non‑profit or international development context.
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, communication and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to lead contractors/consultants and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel frequently to field offices and partner communities.
