Hub Manager – Solar Energy

About the role

Jaza is seeking a Hub Manager to lead a solar‑powered hub in Tanzania. The role combines entrepreneurial drive with disciplined execution to expand clean energy access while mentoring local female leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Drive customer acquisition through door‑to‑door and local sales initiatives to reach 150 active customers per hub.
• Maximise monthly recurring revenue and average revenue per user by improving retention and shifting users to membership models.
• Ensure operational excellence by enforcing inventory protocols and maintaining compliance with loss‑prevention metrics.
• Recruit, interview, coach and develop “Jaza Stars” – community women who run the hub.
• Own hub profitability metrics, attend Hypercare meetings and flag operational issues to the Regional Coordinator.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in sales‑driven roles, customer relations or entrepreneurship, with proven team‑management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to train and coach diverse teams and foster high‑performance culture.
• Strong data‑driven decision‑making, quick learning ability and proactive problem‑solving.
• Passion for increasing energy access and creating economic opportunities for women in Tanzania.
• Willingness to relocate as required.
