Head of Fulfilment (Full Time)

About the role

The Head of Fulfilment leads Jumia’s core warehousing operations across inbound, inventory, outbound and after‑sales functions. Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, this senior leader ensures end‑to‑end product flow, operational efficiency and cost optimisation for a fast‑growing e‑commerce platform.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of inbound, inventory, outbound and after‑sales teams to meet KPI targets.
• Monitor order lifecycles, identify bottlenecks and continuously improve throughput.
• Design, implement and audit standardised SOPs across all warehousing units.
• Coordinate with technical support and central logistics on Warehouse Management System (WMS) updates and incidents.
• Implement proactive inventory controls to prevent out‑of‑stock situations.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial processes and audits for the warehouse.
• Establish robust stock health, cycle‑count routines and shrinkage‑prevention measures.
• Drive initiatives to reduce unit fulfilment cost while improving return recovery ratios.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in large‑scale warehousing or logistics operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into process improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across finance, tech and supply‑chain teams.
• Track record of delivering operational efficiency and cost‑saving projects.
