Fleet Electrician

About the role

Maersk is looking for a skilled Fleet Electrician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain electrical and electronic systems across its vehicle fleet. The role is essential for keeping vehicles safe, efficient, and compliant with manufacturer and regulatory standards while minimizing downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults using diagnostic tools, wiring diagrams, and telematics data.
• Repair or replace wiring, lighting systems, alternators, starters, batteries, sensors, control modules, and other electrical components.
• Install, configure, and maintain telematics devices, ECUs, and onboard electronic systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure roadworthiness.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, and legal standards.
• Provide roadside electrical diagnostics and repairs when required.
• Complete accurate job cards, inspection reports, and repair records.
• Collaborate with mechanics, workshop supervisors, and fleet operations teams.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest continuous‑improvement actions.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in Heavy‑Duty Truck Electrical courses (NVTI) with at least 5 years of maintenance and repair experience.
• Team‑player, well‑organized, energetic, and a problem‑solver.
• Self‑starter with a strong sense of urgency and good time‑management.

Required skills

• Electrical diagnostics using specialized tools.
