Supply Chain Coordinator

About the role

The Supply Chain Coordinator will manage procurement and supply‑chain operations for a sustainable coffee business, working between Mbinga and Dar es Salaam. The role leads a team of procurement officers, oversees parchment warehouse activities, and maintains key stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and evaluate the procurement team, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards.
• Oversee parchment warehouse operations, including receiving, quality inspection, storage, and coordination of milling at partner mills.
• Negotiate coffee purchase prices with cooperatives, develop procurement strategies, and manage budgets.
• Build and maintain relationships with cooperatives, third‑party mills, and government entities such as the Tanzania Coffee Board.
• Monitor curing losses, track inventory movements, and prepare regular inventory and loss‑recovery reports.
• Ensure accurate data entry in the ERP system and compliance with CESS payments and export regulations.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in procurement, supply‑chain management or agricultural commodity trading (coffee experience a plus).
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
• Proven experience in warehouse and inventory management.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills, preferably with cooperatives and agricultural suppliers.
• Fluent in English and Swahili, with the ability to travel extensively within the Mbinga region.
